Since May 2020, Axalta has been a technology partner of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe (TGR-E). As a unique high-performance testing and development facility TGR-E supports Toyota's motorsport activities in Europe - including the two TS050 HYBRID cars in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the GR Supra GT4 cars for customer sport projects.
Axalta and TGR-E work together as partners to develop optimum coatings for TGR-E motorsport vehicles that can withstand extreme stress, improve aerodynamic properties and can be repaired quickly.
2020 - After a turbulent but ultimately successful race at the Circuit de la Sarthe, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing took the TS050 HYBRID to its third consecutive overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most traditional and spectacular races in the world.
