VINdicator is Axalta’s exclusive color retrieval tool designed to help customers easily and efficiently select the right color formula using the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

Since its inception in 1997, VINdicator has accurately delivered superior color matches for 98% of vehicles sold in the United States, both domestic and foreign. VINdicator is available for users of the Metalux National Rule paint system.

Bundled with ColorNet, VINdicator offers a simple alternative to other formula-retrieval options to assist customers in choosing the right formula when multiple variants exist for a given color.
