All-inclusive management system helps paint shops drive better business

performance and better efficiency

Shanghai, China – Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE:AXTA), a leading global liquid and powder coatings supplier, launched a new PaintShop Management(PSM) system built in the Axalta New Generation Software (NGS)color control center system in Asia Pacific and Middle East & North Africa(MENA). As an efficient management tool, the PSM module is designed to benefit
automotive refinish suppliers and body shops on performance and business improvement.

“The Paint Shop Management (PSM) system is user-friendly and easy to access, which provides
an integrated system solution that sorts out regular pain points and expectations on business practice,” said, Subramaniam Shankar, Marketing and Strategy Development Director of Axalta Asia Pacific (excluding China) and MENA. “The full pack of functions supports all sizes of body shops to enhance service performance and productivity on process, cost, material and labor, and to strengthen the level of sustainability.”

Firstly launched in Australia, India, Korea, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia, the PSM system is composed of the five sub-modules of job cards, clients, cars, monitor and reports. For day-to-day business at bodyshops, it offers reliable monitoring and traces the consumption of coating, non-paint products and working hours for each repair, which helps bodyshop technicians and supervisors manage material and labor investment together. The data measured in the system
provides a critical proof for refinish bodyshops to evaluate inputs and outputs, and to boost the level of business efficiency.

In addition to data acquisition, the PSM system gives smart suggestions on coatings volumes based on car hardware and actual refinish needs aiming to save coatings, operation time and costs for body shops in the long run. It also could spontaneously produce a variety of reports ranging from job detail, consumption, re-work to KPI, inventory, etc.

Axalta NGS is a rounded system that also has built-in software algorithms which provides color matching and retrieval; and new color formulas can be retrieved fast and shared among body
shops, connecting with the latest edition of The AcquireTM Quantum EFX Spectrophotometer.
