Requirement
Interior and exterior maintenance of high level water tanks suffering from severe corrosion problems.
Preparation
Surfaces were hand prepared to St2 standard of EN ISO 8501-1:2007 using a combination of wire brushes, scrapers and mechanical tools and thorough fresh water washing to remove salt contamination.
Coatings
The interior was primed with Corroless EPF and finished with Corroless RF35 (2006).
The exterior, with the exception of the roof, was spot primed with a Corroless S1, followed by a full coat of Corroless SHB and finished with a coat of Corroless RF16 topcoat
The exterior roof and the base of the legs was treated using two coats of Corroless EPF.
