Requirement
The internal surfaces of the water boxes were very badly pitted. The previous epoxy coating had worn out through abrasion, and corrosion was severely damaging the structures.
Preparation
Equipment to be coated was blast cleaned internally and externally to Sa2 as per EN ISO 8501-1 2007. Dust was removed with a fresh water wash and surfaces were allowed to dry before coating.
Coatings
Two coats of Corroless™ EPF Primer were applied prior to finishing with two coats of Corroless™ RF35 (2022).
