The Pricing Analyst role supports the development and execution of the pricing process and strategy through gathering, analyzing, and presenting data. These analytics provide the framework for business initiatives such as revenue growth, cost reduction, and profitability optimization. These analytics are at the customer, product, brand, and market segment levels.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as project leader and administrator for Price and Profitability Management System implementation
  • Provide pricing and profitability recommendations at the customer, product, brand, or market segment level based on factors relevant for the situation. Use data to influence decision. Tailor recommendation to audience.
  • Provide guideline recommendations on customer deals by product, brand, and market segment. Includes growth, discount factors, upfront investments, rebates, contract length, and other applicable factors.
  • Create pricing tools and dashboards for sales, marketing, and other functions as necessary. Include profitability and pricing guidelines for customer type, product, brand, and market segment.
  • Ad hoc analysis and project work as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Accounting or Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years pricing analytics experience.  Experienced or familiar with analytic, statistic, and pricing tools such as, but not limited to: regression, correlation, price elasticity, price waterfalls, price bands, and cost volume modeling.
  • Expert MS Excel skill; proficient in other MS Office applications. Tableau, Alteryx, and Price Optimization and Analytics software experience a plus.
  • Experience with SAP, COGNOS/BW, SQL, and CRM (Salesforce) desired
  • Experience in translating pricing and profitability components into projected financial statement performance and generate incremental revenue and EBITDA deal sheets for customers, products, brands, and market segments.
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Self-motivated with natural curiosity; a quick learner. Actively seeks out answers to questions. Works independently and with teams.
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task in a high speed, flexible environment. Understands business urgent needs and can balance work schedule accordingly. Meets deadlines.
  • Dependable, organized, and highly accurate
