China’s industrial growth has created an increased demand for powder products and technology. To meet demand and increase speed to market, Axalta Coating Systems and the Huangshan Yongjia Group Co. Ltd. established a joint venture partnership known as Axalta-Huajia. With headquarters in Huangshan and six manufacturing plants, Axalta-Huajia produces a wide range of powder coating products.

End-user applications for thermosetting powder coatings include customers in the automotive, oil and gas pipeline, transportation, architectural, information technology, furniture and general industrial sectors.

Modified polypropylene powder products can be applied on the shelves of dishwashers, go-carts, flanges, furniture, buttons and other surfaces requiring a high hardness coating.

Axalta also supplies its Abcite™ brand thermoplastic coatings in China. Abcite provides excellent resistance to moisture and chipping and can be used for outdoor furniture, light poles, sign posts, railings and stairways, fencing panels, bike racks, cable grids, battery trays, and perforated steel. All of these attributes are available in a sustainable powder coating technology with virtually no VOC emissions. Abcite is manufactured in Bulle, Switzerland, and marketed and sold successfully throughout the world.
