Large-scale development Guoco Changfeng City achieves LEED™ Platinum.
Guoco Changfeng City is a large-scale mixed-use development project located in the Changfeng Eco Business District of Shanghai’s Putuo Area. The project comprises two 18-storey office towers, two lower-rise corporate office buildings, a cultural industries building, and a cultural and entertainment center. The development is strategically located, with excellent connectivity through the Shanghai North Cross Passage expressway and the upcoming metro station of Shanghai’s Metro Line 1.

The project has been designed to meet high environmental and sustainability standards, with green elements such as energy-saving features, water-saving systems, and environmentally- friendly materials being incorporated into the design at the scheme’s inception. As a result, this is the first commercial project in Shanghai’s Putuo District to achieve LEED™

Platinum Pre-certification by the U.S. Green Building Council and WELL Platinum Certification.
To align with the development’s sustainability agenda, Axalta has provided liquid coatings (PVDF) and powder coatings for the project. Axalta’s PVDF coating is designed to meet the building’s curtain wall specifications and complies with AAMA2605 standards, while also providing durable quality for outdoor projects with a 20+ year guarantee. The Alesta® range of powder coatings, meanwhile, is being used for the second phase of the project’s east block, which is being built by Shanghai Xinhaolong Property Development Co.,Ltd and designed by Jianxue Architecture and Engineering Design Institute Co.,LTD.

The Alesta® AD range is used for outdoor application and meets AAMA 2603 and Qualicoat Class 1 requirements. It provides more than 15 years of coating integrity and colour stability, ensuring that the interiors are as durable and sustainable as possible.
