Refinish Excellence on Show at WorldSkills Nationals in Brisbane
We were thrilled to once again support the next generation of refinishers at the 2025 WorldSkills Australia National Championships, held in Brisbane from 12–14 June.
Over three days of competition, nine regional finalists in the Automotive Refinishing category demonstrated outstanding skill in surface prep, colour matching, clearcoat application and more – all using Standox products supplied by our team. We were there on the ground to offer technical support, helping each competitor perform at their best.
Outside the competition bay, we managed the Try’a Skill booth as part of Skills Show Australia 2025. Our virtual spray-paint simulator gave students, teachers and families a hands-on taste of the trade – and sparked plenty of interest in careers in vehicle painting.
A special moment was the presentation of the Stuart Aisbett Award – created in memory of our much-loved teammate and 2007 WorldSkills Silver Medallist. This year’s recipient, Ronil Naidu of Melbourne, was recognised not only for technical excellence, but for the positive attitude and support he brought to the competition.
We’re incredibly proud to play a role in shaping the future of our industry – and we congratulate all the finalists for their professionalism, passion, and performance under pressure.
