Mercedes-Benz AG Renews Approval

Mercedes-Benz AG has renewed its approval of Spies Hecker and Standox – two of Axalta’s (NYSE: AXTA) premium global refinish brands – for use across its authorised repair network in most key Asia-Pacific (APAC) markets until 2028. Under the terms of the agreement, Standox continues to be approved in Australia, supporting its strong presence in the market.

This renewal builds on a well-established global relationship between Mercedes-Benz and Axalta, with both brands currently approved in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Simon Lee, Vice President of Axalta Refinish Asia-Pacific, said, “We are honoured to maintain the trust of Mercedes-Benz through this continued collaboration, which reflects a successful partnership built over more than 25 years. Our global expertise, combined with strong local R&D and service capabilities, enables us to meet the high standards expected by Mercedes-Benz across Asia-Pacific’s dynamic and diverse markets.”

As part of the new agreement, Standox has also been awarded Mercedes-Benz Preferred Partner Status in India, Japan and Taiwan, a recognition of its consistent quality, innovation, and technical support.

Spies Hecker and Standox offer advanced waterborne and low-VOC coatings solutions that align with Mercedes-Benz’s demanding standards for quality, process efficiency and environmental responsibility. In addition to paint supply, Axalta provides technical training, colour management, and ongoing consulting to support Mercedes-Benz bodyshops in delivering superior and durable finishes.

Axalta remains committed to being more than a coatings provider – acting as a strategic partner to help its customers succeed in every market.
