New Video - Refinishing with Mazda 46G Machine Grey

We often find painter’s run into difficulty when refinishing with Mazda 46G Machine Grey, so we'd like to give you some tips on the waterborne repair process. What makes the 46G so special is the transparency of the reflective layer. The Jet-Black pigment shows through the gaps between the aluminium flakes creating a lustrous metallic look.

For our local process here in Australia and New Zealand,  there are 5 individual layers involved in the repair of Machine Grey. This includes the very important topcoat colour which also utilises Axalta’s 46G special additive in the mix.

Some painters may still struggle in the application of the reflective layer which is why we have created waterborne application process videos for our brands.
