Axalta participates in Australian Skills Excellence Forum

Axalta ANZ were fortunate enough to assist WorldSkills Australia and TAFE QLD with their first ever Australian Skills Excellence Forum, held in Brisbane in late July.

This was a 2-day event with over 100 participants, allowing apprentices to learn more about their industry and setting up for their future vocations across many different trades.

3 up-and-coming NSW apprentices - Jaiden Tesoriero, Bianca Jenner and Mia Simione - joined our QLD Training Consultant, Andrew Thompson, at our Axalta Training Centre in Brisbane learning the latest in vehicle refinishing technology and techniques on day 1, before returning to the forum to focus on their professional development on day 2.

The training covered Standox Standoblue application and blending processes, using our latest technology with the Standox Xtreme System, which is one of the fastest car refinish systems in today’s market, boasting low energy consumption as well as cost-effectiveness.

Andrew was extremely impressed by the enthusiasm of all the students.  “As first-time users of the brand, the students were excited to try something new and were blown away with the quality and speed of the Standox Xtreme primers and clearcoats, as well as the Waterborne application and coverage”.

The students had a great time and left with an Axalta merchandise pack!
